To protect your hands when hitting, we do recommend you bring your own batting gloves. For the safety of all of our campers, metal cleats are not allowed; cleats must be molded/turf or you can wear sneakers.
Players must be at least 21 years of age to participate. There is no maximum age. If you love baseball, come join us!
You can attend alone or with a friend! The camp and its activities are designed to help create fast friendships.
We provide a jersey, hat, t-shirt, socks and belt. You provide all-white baseball pants. To ensure the best fit, we have found it’s best for our athletes to bring their own baseball pants. It’s up to you whether the pants are styled short or long. For the safety of all of our campers, metal cleats are not allowed; cleats must be molded/turf or you can wear sneakers.
Airfare and lodging are not included in your Player fee. Campers arrive at Camp by various modes of transportation. A Camp host hotel will be suggested, but it is not required for you to stay there. We can’t wait to see everyone!
The Camp host hotel will include a hot breakfast buffet. We will provide lunch at the ballpark. Dinner is on your own — a chance to explore Springfield’s best. Please let us know of any dietary needs.
You may want to rent a car for the ultimate flexibility. Transportation to and from Robin Roberts stadium is your responsibility. Uber is available and carpooling is also a possibility.
Formal baseball or softball experience is not required to attend Camp. If you can catch and throw a baseball, you are welcome to join the team. There will be instruction on various baseball skills, like how to hit, pitch or field a ground ball. This is fantasy camp! It’s your chance to live your baseball dreams!

Dear Teammate,
I built A Camp of Our Own for you.
When I was 13, I was told I should quit playing baseball because I’m a girl. And that was the day I decided I would play baseball forever. But it was the beginning of my uphill battle to find my place in this game. And no matter how many people have tried to take baseball away from me, it made me love the game even more.
I know many of you have similar stories, where you were told you weren’t allowed to play, or that your opportunities to continue had run out. I created this Camp because this is our game too.
This camp is a supportive space for women who want to play baseball. All skill levels are welcome. Our camp merges our love for baseball with the history of girls and women in baseball.
For four days in Springfield, you’ll play on the same field where the Women’s Pro Baseball League played. You’ll have your own locker with your name on it, a uniform that fits, coaches in your corner — and a dugout full of women to cheer you on.
If you love baseball, A Camp of Our Own is for you. Join the team and follow your baseball dreams.
